docking station    iPod Docking Station

I finally made a big decision a few weeks ago. After a long time of discussing, and talking with my wife about it, we made the decision to get rid of the home stereo system. It was a tough decision. Especially when we thought about what was going to replace it; an iPod.

We bought a docking station to plug in the iPod with a set of speakers that delivered the same quality of sound as the huge Pioneer system we had standing in the room for the last 10 years. But, we didn't need it
anymore. All of the music, radio, and even audio books could be played over the iPod through the docking station. The room that it created was great, we were able to put in more seating because of the space that was opened up by taking the stereo out. The docking station is placed on the TV cabinet and the speakers are part of the surround sound system.

Once we made the decision to get rid of the stereo, and actually did it, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I don't even miss it. The iPod and docking station more than make up for it and we actually listen to music more now than watching TV.
