In the good old days when I had to buy an entire album for one hot song like Get it Faster by Jimmy Eat World, it sometimes meant saving up a week’s worth of allowance. An MP3 download for a single song is no more then a dollar now.

Yesterday, I took the day off and went to the opening day of the 2009 Vans Warped Tour. There were over twenty bands, around ten stages and enough vendors to make you head spin in the middle of this horse track at the Pomona Fair Grounds. It was hot, crowded and rocktastic. I came to see a couple of the bands (A Day to Remember, 3OH!3 ) but found a couple bands like The Sequence that really rocked. The Sequence did this cover of Rihana’s Disturbed but with only drums, bass, electric guitar and vocals and it smashed on the original. As soon as I got home, I found the MP3 download and spread the love to this up and coming band who’s making some great music. You gotta love technology.
