Not too long ago my daughter asked if it would be possible to take my old CD player with her to college. She has quite the collection of CD’s and the only place she has to play them is in the car. Even though it’s old, I have to admit that I’m quite fond of my CD player and I was unwilling to part with it. I knew that it probably wouldn’t make it through those wild college years, so I told her no. I could tell she was disappointed, but what I didn’t tell her was that I’d gone online and started looking for a good price on a CD player for her to have as her own. I knew that if I ordered her a new CD player that it would have a much better sound than the old one I have, and when I did finally find one for a good price, I decided to go ahead and order it without hesitation. Two days ago it arrived and since my daughter has been out of town visiting friends before she heads off to college she doesn’t know about it. She’ll get home tonight, and I’ll give her the CD player then. I know she’ll be thrilled.
